TAKING YOU BEYOND THE GEEK SQUAD

IronGeeks.org is a 503c nonprofit corporation. Our mission is to present midlevel IT training to West Contra Costa County’s under served and or underperforming citizens. Do you have your A+, and maybe an MCDST and still find getting hired a challenge? Well we may be able to help

We offer the training needed to get you certified, the tutoring you need to get your AA, and the contacts you need to get help and support on the job.

1 April 2011 - We offered our second CCNA class, this was supposed to run 16 weeks on Thursday racksnights 6:00 - 9:00. The cost is $250 plus the price of the book. Students are required to have their own laptop and a be familiar with normal PC operations and use. Classes are held in Martinez CA.

As of 13 August we are still plugging away. We proceed at our students pace and we found that we needed more time than originally alloted, so we now plan on finishing in October.

January 2012 - We will offer our first Virtualization class. Pricing has not been set. This class will cover VMware, XenServer and HyperV with an emphasis on Data Centre and Server virtualization.

Spring 2012 - We will offer our Second Linux class. This will emphasize Redhat administration and prepare students for the CompTia Linux plus test.
